Silly Goose

Just because I defend someone's right to say something doesn't mean we can't poke a little fun and point out a little veiled hypocrisy.

When did Glenn Beck become an evangelical preacher? I'll tell you. Exactly when he realized that his one-man side show could benefit from it.

Last week's rally on the Mall was a real hum-dinger. White America! God!

Some Beck Quotes from said rally (courtesy CNN)

"Something beyond imagination is happening," he told participants who packed the National Mall in Washington. "America today begins to turn back to God. For too long, this country has wandered in darkness."

Darkness? Way to alienate every atheist/realist in the country.

"Look forward. Look West. Look to the heavens. Look to God and make your choice," he said. "Do we no longer believe in the power of the individual? Do we no longer believe in dreams?"

What the hell does that have to do with God?

I bet if we asked Mr. Beck about T. Jefferson, he would laud our founding father as a true patriot who saw divine providence guiding his pen strokes as he wove the masterpiece that is the Declaration of independence. I wonder what T.J. would say....

Religions are all alike – founded upon fables and mythologies." [Thomas Jefferson]

woops.

  1. Glenn Beck is a jackass. But which political talk show host isn't. The problem with America is that we spend more time arguing than resolving. Maybe Annoying Joe needs a talk show...since he seems to have his head on straight (unlike most)!
